Alex is a director and editor with 15 years experience in film, broadcast and corporate.  Most recently he edited "Aldi's Next Big Thing" and "Worst House on the Street" for Channel 4, as well as the International Emmy-nominated short-form series "The Mandela Project".  He has also worked in the visual effects department of several feature films including “Night at the Museum” at Method Vancouver and “Dark Shadows” at MPC London.

Alex has directed three short films that have screened at prestigious international film festivals including HollyShorts and LA Shorts.  His latest “Blank Shores” screenplay won the Grand Prize in the Vortex Horror/Sci-Fi category at the Oscar- and BAFTA-affiliated Flickers’ Rhode Island International Screenplay Competition.  The screenplay was awarded funding by the BFI Network and attracted the attention of BAFTA-winning Georgina Campbell to play the leading role.  The film was distributed by ShortsTV and launched on the DUST YouTube channel in 2024.
Attracted to visceral filmmaking, Alex is passionate about stories that explore mental health issues and outsider characters.  He is currently developing a feature-length coming of age thriller/drama.
